Definitely worth repairing as it looks as though no one has had a go before. The rest of the car is in great condition so it is definitely worth saving, just don't put the stainless steel sill covers back on.

Stainless steel, by the way, will cause even more aggressive rusting in mild steel bodywork. This is why stainless bolts are such a bad idea.

My thoughts exactly chickenjohn. Every other B i've had has been bodged up with plates stuck on everywhere underneath etc. This one seems to have escaped that treatment so there are no poor repairs to cut out first.

Those sill covers went to the tat man....
