What a pessimist, I think it's been Ziebarted from new.
I might scrape the lumpy stuff off, but I'd have to use a blow torch as I don't have power to run a heat gun.

Dean, both sides are the same and the tracking has been set like this so it goes in a straight line OK.
I find the steering heavy, which Minors aren't normally, it may be that power steering as made me into a 7 stone weakling though :) .

Heavy steering - lube the king pins - with oil, and see if that helps. It should be finger-light. To check - pop the track rod ends off, then you check if the column and rack are free moving - and if each kingpin swivels freely.

I'll give that a go when I get the sump back on.
Just about all the components are new though.
