Because it's a car, it's what they were built to cope with!
There was no notice when new "do not take out in adverse weather conditions, it will disintegrate"

its like "Don't sit on the seats - they weren't made for sitting on"

And I'll take some more next winter, when it's on the road...right now it's safe in a garage.

In the deep snow of 1963 my late Father drove our 2 dr through the snow to help my Grandfather clear his drive so he could get his car out of the garage! I think everybody forgets these were every day cars - whatever the weather!
I think the fact that they sit quite high off the ground compared to the modern "roadhuggers" gives them a definite advantage.

i can positively say that daisy may is in safe and sound in the garage, but i do agree that they were built to be driven, and should be driven. I personally think that the Morris minor is one of the best cars for driving in the snow!

What's it like where you are SGTBILKO - or anywhere else in France ?
GroMMit is back in her garage. If we get more snow I'll take more pics

There is a fair amount of snow here, in the Paris region, but I've stored mine away for the winter, so no pictures. Why is it Morris Minors look so appealing when covered in snow?

Neat! From the front, MMO kinda looks like he's got a handlebar moustache.

This was Sheffield last Wednesday. At the time 22inches of snow had fallen in three days. My 52 Convertible project is safely tucked up in the double garage in the photos.

this is actually going to be my xmas card for the year......
and yeah so far this year, lily has coped better than most of my friends cars and we chased the snow all over last year (started in Kent's blizzards and ended up in Leeds's) without too much grief. Personally i think it's also a question of driving style - you have to drive a moggie with a fair bit of thought (well i do) in terms of stopping distances, the big steering wheel means you corner steadily etc so we start safer.
And Lily too is a drive or walk option, and she's got this far so i'd trust her to do a few more years of bad weather.[frame]

This is going to be the basis of my Christmas card.
Heavily Photoshopped by someone who knows how, the car hasn't been out in the snow at all![frame]
