Hmm, no, it wasn't a standalone sketch. More of a transition. Perhaps it was in Spam? I've watched the whole series in order in the past, but right now I'm jumping around.

Higher education will do that to you.

A Minor convertible appears briefly in the film 'Signs' starring Mel Gibson, when an alien creature is filmed walking past it. Surreal or what!

Oh, whilst on the subject I remember a Minor saloon is parked in a street scene in the film 'Bullitt'.

Popular Culture -

The prevailing vernacular culture in any given society including art, cooking, entertainment, films, mass media, music, sports and style. :D

I watched Wrecks to Riches USA last night (it's the one where they build the Chevy 11 gasser), and at the start of the programme, there's some drag racing footage and you see a Minor leaving a Camaro for dead.

In 'Monty Pythons: And Now for Something Completely Different', Minors and (i think) Farina style Oxfords are indeed the 'Killer Cars'. It's a very random animation/sketch (perfectly normal for Monty Python actually...) where the cars just pootle around and then pounce on unsuspecting passers by.

I wouldn't call it 'popular culture' though, except for the fact that is that very sketch that provided me with the name for my first minor, 'Monty' :D

Total Recall!

'Bullitt' from 1968 and often repeated .
'Signs' from 2002.
