That looks a neat mounting. Mines a towball fit, which sticks out at the back like a continental kit on a Ford Zephyr and has its own lights and number plate. Was only a £8 from Beaulieu Autojumble though. Just have to remember its on when backing into the driveway up to the wifes car.....

cheers
Iain

Yes the visibility of the cars lights may be an issue for plod but the wheels would come off easily (on this bike at least) and would go in the car somewhere and an extra nuberplate under the bumper would solve that little issue too.

I did argue the toss with a copper once. He pulled me over for crossing a railway crossing on a red light. I argued it had just turned to amber and stood my ground. He relented. The cheeky chappy was tring to use my ignorance to get me for undue care and attention.

Well I was the one who bought it! I have been looking for one for 10 years without any luck, also my car was written off by a 17 year old driving into it and pushing me into the car infront with a tow bar! It is in the process of being repaired, so it will have a period rack on it now! It was lots, I supprised myself how high I did bid, but as the traveller is my only car and everyday transport I thought why not, compared to what others pay for new cars I will stick to my 56 split screen traveller! If you see me in the summer, MBO145, give the roofrack a pat!Lets hope it looks good.

My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!

I'd still reccomend boot sales as good hunting ground, as folk have a clearout and realise its about 2 decades since they had a car with roof gutters...
i have the same rack fitted to leeroy! its an ugly git, but it does strangly grow on you. makes the minor look much more square though... and it catches side winds somethign feirce, the whistling will drive you mad at first!
