For those who "want to just turn up" Can. Please feel free. So far we have 24 booked in and we haven't got all of our branch in yet. I have made up 30 goodie bags for the ones that have pre booked so if you do just turn up and join in, please don't be offended if there's not a goodie bag for you.
I think if this run goes well, I can't see why we can't organise a MOT here in South Wales next year.

I only mentioned this, as when I organised a Sunday lunch run, combined with a visit to a steam railway, we had people just turn up. Luckily, we were able to fit them in (Even some first class compartments had been reserved for us) but only because there were only two of them (There weren't more than about twelve in total, so another half dozen could have really thrown us given the circumstances).
I'd like to make it to Llantrissant but at least if I don't, I have plan B (B not being for "Barn!"

). I just hope we have a nice day for it!!!!

It's possible I might be using one of the MGs (I have never used the BGT V8 for a Drive It Day run and I think it will start to feel left out) but the Traveller may well get an airing again.

I'll be bringing my camera, and getting photos of everyone by the castle and again by the abbey - possibly at the end by raglan as well. (: If i can get my passenger to work my camera, we can get moving-along photos too.

It's getting more like a convoy than a road run!

It's sounding great just hope my cars back together in time - brake parts ordered, just praying for some nice weather to get the brakes and the bodywork sorted.

Ok here's an update. We now have 30 vehicles/owners wanting to take part. I have made a slight change to the route. Please NOTE When we travel along the A48 to Caerwent We turn right and have a short stop at the Coach & Horses instead of The North Gate Pub. I advised the landlady that we might be stopping for tea/coffee & cakes but as it will be a Sunday lunch time we need to be there before 12.30pm.
It might be adviseable that incase of any other changes that might crop up, you please keep a check on this link. If you intend to meet us on route, then please be prompt at the place where we pass by, as we don't have time to wait for those who choose not to join us from the start line.
Thanks.

Have i missed something? did you have different colour blues on the car? only because i had the same problem with my car it had been sprayed in several different shades of blue only slightly but the garage picked up on it so i have had it sprayed the one colour all over. Looks much better now

Sadly, it doesnt look like the white one will be ready for sunday. We've hit some speed bumps in her bodywork, as you do! I'll still be aiming to be at Tintern Abbey with my camera though! (:

Sorry to hear that, is the green one gone?
I still have everything crossed for a fine day. Oddly enough I saw a ten day forecast yesterday which said rain and the same one today says fine (Just goes to prove you can't pay any attention to it.....I think weather forecasting must be good training for politicians).
I ran the MG V8 last Saturday (Took the opportunity to do some photos, just in case the insurance company ask for some up to date ones) and it went well, whilst the Traveller is clean and ready too. The Midget won’t be out until next month or even June. That way when the V8 tax runs out in September, I’ll have the Midget on the road until October or November. Neither is tax exempt and I tend to just tax them for the “Summer” period.
