Hi Lucy, that is a gorgeous 'old english white' car you have there. Mine too is a white one but with 4 doors and doesn't look quite as good as yours! The only bonus mine has is that I discovered it was the 1098 prototype, but apart from that it was the colour that sold it to me!

I'm seldom on here as I enjoy driving my moggie around too much but when I saw yours I just had to comment! Welcome to the club of moggies and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun like we all do. Do you intend to do some rallies? We do a fair few including the overseas, Minors on Tour and we're based in Hampshire so we may see you at some point! Come over and say 'hello' if you see us.

Best wishes, Debbie xx
Image
Sorry, but I think the picture file size was a little large. Anyone knows how to resize it as it's a bit of a riduculous size!!!

Hi Debbie you will need to go to the where you have the photo hosted and reduce its size there.
This may help

Just one thing if your car is the 1098cc prototype why has it got a 1966 registration as the 1098cc engine was introduced in Sept 1962, also the lights fitted at the front didn't come in until Oct 63.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the photo advice, I'll try to sort that in a mo. My car is actually a 1962 but was kept back in the factory for 4 years hence the 1966 registration. So originally the car would have had the 948cc engine before it was pulled back from the production line and sent to the experimental department. I have all the documentation with the car and to confirm things its chassis is number 473 and is featured in Paul Skilleter's book. It was also featured in Minor Monthly November 2008. Hope this helps!

Regards Debbie

Hello there, I have managed to use the image as my signature picture, only the original was a gif file and I have no idea how to reduce it on the forum. Sorry! If anyone can reduce it themselves, please do!

Hi Lucy

Rosie is drop dead gorgeous. In a world obsessed by destinations, it is a complete joy to enjoy the journey. Head out into Worcester and Hereford and put some Elgar or Vaughan Williams on while motoring.
A higher level of existence is hard to find!

Many happy years with the girl.
