Just came across this interesting thread; many plug applications have indeed been lost in the mists of time.
I have just been given a bag full of Champion N5 plugs which the chap said were THE plug to use in the Minor.

Got plenty of those aswell Lee but they are reserved for my other baby. 
N5 have a much shorter reach than N9Y and I note Mike Perry's post earlier in the thread.

I use champion N5 with no problems.
