Wipe the seals with a drop of silicone lubricant on a bit of cloth - it should stop it freezing to the frame.

My modern has always unlocked OK but the door seals freeze the door to the frame
I borrowed a modern VW from work 2 years ago in Winter - The door seals froze up but we just managed to get in, and then ran the engine to defrost everything. Before setting off I tried to open the window so that I could defrost the mirror but the window winder mechanism sheared... :oops:
My modern has always unlocked OK
My lock just froze up - probably at the same time you wrote that! :roll:

I once had to use warm fresh pee to defrost a door lock! (it was late at night and very dark)

Where on earth would you find some at that time of night and in the dark :roll:
