Chuck it over the hedge and put a better secondhand one on! I've got two spare, and I'm sure there are many more out there!
(Why bother with a Mini one?)

'cos I've seen mini ones advertised at reasonable prices, but not minor ones (though TBH I've not looked in the greatest detail). Should I consider that an offer? :-P

The previous HIF which I got for my Moggy had an ADP, without the bypass function. Comparing them, the ADS is a tad richer all through the range than the ADP, both are way leaner than the AAA, very visibly so! My Moggy wouldn't run on the ADP without filing lumps off it, so maybe you have a richer 998 needle? Don't know the Metro model, that end of the car was too far into the nettles!!
According to the Haynes manual ADP is the standard needle for 998 Metros apart from the HLE(?) which used the ADX or ADZ - presumably leaner as that was the economy model.

So I guess I have the ADP.

Yes - I too have the Metro Haynes - and the HLE needle remains a mystery!
