I was clearing out the car once and dropped the keys with the rubbish into the dustbin.

Hi Pete - I "lost" my keys the other weekend and hunted high and low for them to no avail. Then, on the Sunday evening I was about to iron the kids clothes for school the next day, and hey presto!, the keys were under the washing basket...! They'll probably turn up in an unlikely place when your not looking for them.
ps - thanks for the heads up ref the seats!
Regards, Mike.

The best way i've found for something lost to turn up is to buy a replacement, the second it arrives the missing item will magically reappear on the kitchen table etc

Found them. In the hip bag I use when I cycle to work. Why they were in there is a mystery though as I have a separate bunch with locker/bike lock etc. Never mind, all's well .....although I'm a bit young for a senior moment........perhaps I was just overdue a cuppa.

You say that, but couldn't find a key out of all of the sadmoggers (and Carlo has near enough the full set :o ) that would fit the boot of the trav - so I ended up buying a new handle!

Keys are nothing - I once walked home on a nice day, forgetting I had driven into town. Had the keys - but no car!
