The nearest airport will be Leeds/ Bradford or Manchester

Not sure about any B and B's but there should be quite a few in the area

Thanks for that well thank God ryanair flys to leeds and according to Google Earth it's very close to Harewood, flight will come in at 23.45 :S doubt I'll find buses at those times, might rent a car if cheap! might even sleep in it, save on hotel

Ok so an update can you please help me out ?

If I fly into leeds airport, stay at a premiere Inn near the airport (3mins away) for the night pick-up a hire car in the morning, drive up to harewood house and use the car as a camp?

doeas it sound like a good idea?

If you do decide to camp out in the car over night, make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing and a flask for a hot drink, as even at the time of year for the rally it will get cold at night

Frank remind me before the rally and I can bring an extra sleeping bag in the Minor for you, and Im sure we could supply a bowl of cornflakes as well!!!

Frank - just book the flights and the night's accomodation and I'm sure the usual gang will rally round and help with things this end!

well I'm booking coming month I'll be booking a hotel near Leeds airport and hiring a car as I have a whole week as ryanair operates only on thursday to and from Malta, I'll be coming with my mechanic this year thanks for your help guys

We've booked in to The Beechford Hotel for the Sat night so if anyone else is staying and can/wants to book in there we cn continue the partying well into the next day

David, did Paddy tell you that piece of usefull information?,it will be good to put some faces to the members of this forum . We also have our ferry booked ,and got a good price for a room at the Premier hotel in Harrogate , roll on June everybody

Does anyone actually camp at Minor rallies?or does everyone go into a b and b
Im hoping to do a lot of Minor rallies this year,ive only been to one before a few yrs ago and that was just for the day.
Will definitely want to do the national,but ill be wanting to tent it!
Done around 20 or so Reliant rallies last year,all over the country,camping at all of them,although i had a core group of mates on all of those,and i dont know anyone in the Minor world

Lots of us camp at the National and we try to get an area on the camp site specifically for the website members. I expect there'll be a thread posted nearer the time to find out who's camping but you definately won't be the only one. I didn't know anyone either when I first started going to rallies but you soon get chatting to people and it's good to put names to faces so don't be worried about turning up alone with a tent. Everyone's really friendly and there's always plenty of tea & cakes on offer

yep we camp at the national, have to get maximum time there, theres always too much to see. some great characters and hoping to meet more this year. look out for the crazy northern irish lot, thats us..... any ideas to branch challenges this year?

Application form will be on our website asap (hopefully this weekend) - go to the Branches and click on B'ham. Details of where we meet etc. All welcome. We're also going to the National Rally and will be camping with the "Websiters"

will definitely aim to go to the Brum rally,not that far away

OK I booked the flight now for a hotel I was thinking somewhere close to the airport, is this wise? or will i have too much noise form planes? or maybe I stay the night there and then move to a hotel closer? what do you advise please? Thansk
