Excellent, cheers Nigel!

You mentioned earlier that the trafficators are the clockwork type - what does this mean? Is it like a clockwork timer so the indicators cancel them selves? My indicator switch is a whitish colour and can actualy spin all the way around when turn it - so if I turn it left, I can carry on twisting until it comes back round form the rigt.

Ahh looks like it may be nadgered, if you look at the top of the switch after removing the glove box you will see the switch is very long with just 3 connections on the top. When I took mine apart the top section was just the contacts with the canceling mechanism below but I wasn't brave enought to take it apart to reveal the clockwork bit.

Popped out and took a couple of pictures for your infomation.
Image

Image
aaah, cheers nigel!

Might have to pull mine a part to see whats knackered, and if its easy to fix.

I also had a look at one of ray newells books "original morris minor" and i there, there is a S2 minor with the same speedo.

Your trim looks the same as mine, so you belong in good company. I think your car must be the twin of mine - :D

Maybe we should start the S2 '56 black/red 4 door deluxe register
