The seller has now amended his ad and thanked the "eagley eyed members of the Morris Owners Club" for their help.

Aye - I had a long exchange with him about it through ebay! Though in fact - that was mostly with the seller of the 'other' car that claims to be 1958 - and is NOT! I did exchange messages with both of them - the 1958 Trade seller quickly went in the huff! Don't touch it with a barge pole!

and probably some of the same ones that now think it's not ok...a few on here were suggesting only recently that there was nothing wrong in changing a car's identity

It might save the car from scrappage, but what would be the use if the owner was in prison?
