The 2pm AGM has been advertised to all members in Minor Matters, but not the earlier liaison meeting.

The morning meeting is a Branch Liaison Meeting. 2 representatives from each branch and the representatives from the various Registers attend. It is not open for the general membership. The numbers for this meeting had to be given to Rosie Hamilton in advance. The AGM is open for all paid up members of the MMOC to attend (2pm).

For those of us who got nominated to go to the branch liason meeting within the last few days...

What time does it start??

I think I should have asked that at the Cov branch meeting on Wednesday.

10.00-10.30 ish.
There is usually a local map in Minor Matters, not this year.
My sat nav does not recognise the post code DE3 0XX. Suppose I will have to pick up a street atlas on the way.

the nominated reps get the free sandwiches.
I wasn' t joking about the sandwiches. Four small ones and a hand full of crisps if you were greedy, and there still weren't enough to go round.

The model of the traveller in the foreground looks interesting, Christmas present me thinks, if you can get it in a trafalgar blue 2 door saloon.
Would look great on my desk
Any Ideas

It's a sunstar model. The detail is superb but as far as I know they only do a saloon in black or birch grey at the moment, and a convertible in clipper blue or cream. Here's a link showing the detail to the traveller (available from model shops, ebay etc. Shop around as prices vary): http://www.timsdiecast.co.uk/ourshop/pr ... Green.html

AGM had about 60-70 members present

Subs to stay the same - except senior citizens rise by £1 with a view to phasing out the discount in the next few years - All new members to pay full rate whatever their age.

Minor Matters Editor announced he has regretfully had to put in his resignation due to increased other workload - a suitable replacement candidate had been lined up but in the spirit of fair play etc an advert for any other candidates would be in the next issue before a decision was made - Stephen Morris would stay on for a few issues to ensure a smooth changeover

There was news of a newcomer to the Traders front with Moss producing a fairly comprehensive catalogue and using original part numbers - they were looking to producing some rare early bits like the split screen Chrome surround - they had already booked space for the 2010 National Rally

National Rally to be at Harewood House 26,27 June 2010

No resolutions had been received but a point was raised in any other business proposing that travel expenses for MMOC committee meetings should be paid at the reduced rate unless travel was in a Morris Minor in which case the full amount could be claimed - this was promised to be discussed at the next committee meeting.
