Not very comfortable for driving long distance on the motorway though!

I would tend to disagree, having done many thousands of motorway miles in a Minor over the past couple of years.
The reason I sold my beloved Series 2A Land Rover was because it proved impractical for my daily motorway commute.

Ahh - now 2A (I had on once!) is a different prospect to Series 1 - which is lighter and smaller engine. But i do agree - if long Mway miles is the task - the Landy is not the best.

Or Polo discs

mkay - oh no, we weren't going to use landy brakes for it! that'd be silly! actually.. we do use bmw brakes on our landrovers.
aaanyway!
i was originally thinking of getting an old series 1, but i changed my mind, i've been around the things my entire life, my dad would likely completely bastardise the poor thing, like most of our landies, and they're everywhere in my area. I wanted something a little more.. moggy-like. oddly enough, i did almost end up with a Zastava 750 (google it if you don't know!)
glad i got the morris though!
