Excellent Willie, thanks. You've saved me an investigation job! It's not urgent but any increase, however small, in hot air output has to be better.
I'll have a look next time I'm lying down there. I was under there only recently wiring in a new radio/cd and on previous occasions but not being bothered about the heater it never enters the head to think while I'm down here lets have a look and see if the motor connections are accessible. It's only after reading your post the possibility of changing the wires came to the fore.

If you wish to check for maximum fan power then
swop these two leads over(on my car I had to lengthen one
lead,you may be luckier) the difference is considerable.
Thanks for that Willie when I mentioned this in the past I was informed that it made no difference to the heater output so I stopped mentioning it but I am glad you found it made a difference as I also found.

It could have been a misunderstanding Kevin as to which type
of heater because,strangely enough, I found that my original
'round type' heater did not improve if I changed the polarity!!

Ok Willie it looks like it only affects the later heaters then, something else to remember.
