Thanks Roy, Sorry I missed your post. The guy had bought a brand spanking Landy defender about a week before the scheme was announced!
He also had a Bond Equipe, and a very nice Mini.....

I'm sure he discovered that the avaialble discounts on a new Landy - far exceeded any psuedo 'scrappage' allowance!

only a few years!
theres a couple of very minor faults that I've discovered (the worst of which being 1 wheel nut for a steel wheel! - different taper to the alloy ones)

nice buy Matt there's a club with an excellent forum bout these cars should you have any probs plenty of parts around too

Which club are you thinking of Frank its not mg-rover.org is it? I'm already a member!
And DP. If I had 3.5k lying around I would have got something a bit different anyway
