I should be there on Sunday provided I can get the old thing running again (haven't used it yet this year).

Are you going to have a trip around the track Martin?

Hadn't planned on it, depends upon how strict the noise test is, last time it was measured it was 114dB, it is always over on static test as the turbo is not taking any of the energy out of the exhaust off boost, much, much quieter on boost though. Haven't driven at Sparkford on anything other than slicks either!

It would be good to have you go around, have not heard if J Beardomore is going to play either, nor for that matter any other heavily modded Minor. It'd be interesting if Rob could bring his Cossy Minor too !!

I'll be there, on my home turf!
Heavily modified enough?!
Is there a section for modified or should I park with the other lowlights, are you looking for vehicles for your stand jonothan??

I might bring my crash helmet just incase but you might need to keep the noise tester busy elsewhere!

H 12 , that'll do nicely. Martin, is it qiueter at lower rpm. We managed a tight 95db at Goodwood just by lowering the max rpm and running 2/3 of that at the test. I hope that Haynes will not be too strict as we are planning a bit of exhaust entertainment (cannot say more)
We are not having a stand this year, but will have an area to park our cars under gazibo cover. Our efforts will be concentrated on running the track activities. I think that we might be able to set aside an area to show cars that will be participating. Hopefuly we will find a PA system so that we can have some commentary.

Well if I limit the max revs to 2000rpm I might get below that!

In honour of the fact that I will be limited to 50mph on my new recon engine for the trip down to the rally, I have purchased the following from Ebay to inform other road users...

We will be there from Friday to Monday with 'Lilly May' towing the caravan and Gill's van 'Lucky'.
Shame we can't bring Gracie this year but we can't drive 3 Minors and tow a caravan with two of us!
***thinks*** mind you, lilly & gracie both have towballs, so if I towed gracie on an a-frame behind lilly, then the caravan behind gracie....

Got my rally pack today. I will be there from Thursday afternoon.
The cheque I sent off included the price for entry into the museum. Anyone know what from the pack I'll need to show so I can get into the museum?

I will be bringing our Moggy Jenny as a day visitor as we don't live that far away. Looking forward to putting some faces to names.

I thought that entrance to the museum was extra, but that we got a couple of quid off if we had our MMOC cards (I may be wrong though).
Does the rally number indicate where we'll be parked on the day?
Also...does anyone know if there will be a facilty for insurance valuations on the day?
Cheers,
Paul.

MMOC members get a concessionary rate entry to the museum when showing their membership cards. Not sure how much this is though.
