I would take a photo but there is no way I'm going to remove a light, they are awkward to get at. I may be able to get some sort of photo if I point the camera up under the grill.

Finally I found these

Which quite match with what you told me. I think the light came out of the tiny slot in the holder and I think this goes was attached to the choke nut. Also this should be the part of the dash light so I'm now after the head beam warning unit... :roll:

Well done, that's the light that shines on the ignition switch. There should be a green filter over the slot and it is wired into the side light circuit. It looks like the thick wire is an earth cable. The other light has a red lens on the end.

Yes that is that light that lights the ignition and attaches to the choke cable.

mark wil check tomorrow!! had problems texting from my mobile (stupid Melita mobile) should have one of these but not sure if its the high beam or the panel ilumination
