Frank,
You can save your self a lot of driving if you have the spares sent to Wiltshire (it's about 150 miles each way to MGOC) for you to collect I'm sure someone here would take them in.
I know we have some members near there. They would probably help with the service, and find you a bed for the night.

If they are Goodyears, they will be D2's or D3's.
If it needs new tyres, get them yourself. It's always best to ensure you get the correct ones and not something the seller would get on the cheap.
Seriously though, when back home get some Goodyear Eagle F1 D2's on order. ;)

Check out the links, because even tyre places get confused..... the top box in each link, list the details for the D3 (look for D3 in the tyre code).... yet the lower box with the price in list them as D2's (look at the codes)!!!! One link is for the front tyre, the other is for the rear tyre.
I am so so so envious of you....

Dean as for tyres I've been recommended Toyo r1s also, I did a search I only found D2s in the correct size for the fronts not the rears,
heathy, i think it's going to be a ncie adventure if nothign happens!! I'm flying over with a friend in a week and drive it down, if it weren't a 2 seater you'd be most welcome, there's a good chance if this succeeds I might do it again next year with somethign bigger

If fellow TF drivers confirm it's ok... go for it.

Always remember garages will sell you anything that fits. ;)
Seriously though, nice weather roof down.... winding roads (that you know).... 70mph+ beautiful!!! Get used to what the car can handle early on, turn the Kenwood up loud (there are two huge speakers behind the headrests), listen to the roar of that free revving 1.8.... it's music to your ears!! Does it have a wind breaker by the way? If not look into getting one, while the roof is down and you are zipping along it stops that aerodynamic drag blowing around the back of your head. ;)
Oh for the days when I didn't have kids!!! I WANT ONE!

I don't think it has a windbreaker! but I'm getting a hard top! love the looks of these cars with hard tops! I think to a certain point makes the car safer to leave in certain places! plenty of sun down here so there's plenty of time for the roof down!

it does when it peeing down with rain and the top is up. ( i am correct in saying its a soft peice of vinyl type of material that folds up arent i?)

so no a/c?

A/C was an option.
The roof is thick canvass and contrary to belief the cars are warm in winter ;). Provided you don't touch the canvas while it is raining it won't leak ;) But there is a spray on stuff you can buy that keeps it leak proof... can't remember who supplies it though.
