It'd have to be in the middle of the year for me 'cause I don't see me getting Minerva back on the road before then! (need to save up for a fair bit of welding)

Having looked at the events Diary, how does 17th July or 25th July sound to people?
June already has the potteries rally and then the National at the end of June.
I've a few ideas about what we could do, but any suggestions welcome!
Anyone any ideas if a joint chat session could be run to discuss options (eg. on messenger?)

Good idea to avoid clashing with other rallies - if we go to Gaydon we'll have to avoid car rallies there as well.
June / July would be most likely to enjoy dry and warm weather, but I'm not sure about having it during the school holidays - a lot of people might be away on holiday. However others might think this is an advantage?

OK, we're on!
as there wasn't any complaints about either date, then I hope the later one (25th July) will be a good one!!
I've asked for an initial mention in the magazine, so fingers crossed.
Personally I like the suggestion of a drive session - and Warwickshire is a nice place to do that.
Therfore I'd like to propose an initial meet at 9:30 to 10:45, followed by a leisurely drive to the second destination. Arrival by mid day (including those who had a longer way to come)
Gaydon has been suggested for final destination - any other suggestions for comparison or as fall back options?
Sadly, the national Motorcycle museum is not an option anymore.
Warwick Castle is well worth a visit but priced at too high a level.
What do people want? All suggestions welcome! Anything from a go-karting event to a walk in the park.....
There are even airfields around here where you can have a go in a glider (but that's not saying it's everyone's cup of tea and as bad weather can cancel it, it's a daft idea as well

)

July shouldn't be a problem (although too late and I might be on holiday... have to check the dates).
An organised route to the final destination sounds good...

Any time, any place, any event suits me just let me know!
p.s. Ray, where did you get that date from for the Potteries branch rally?

Potteries Rally was early June in the recent club mag (I will check when I get home)
Did they tell porkies or are you just surprised to hear about it on here first?
Yes - page 19, half way down, Potteries Rally Sunday 6th June.

Matt,
How about Gaydon and karting..... and/or 4x4:
http://www.heritage.org.uk/active.htm
or the museum whilst you are there:
http://www.heritage.org.uk/fcar.htm
I'll have to check with them how it will work - they do car rallies there, but I'm expecing this to be a smaller affair.
The nice Mr.Harvey has agreed to put us in the Minor Matters events diary!
