Bonnet is not double skinned Chany - The side trim comes off so the ball joints can be fitted then the trims refitted to cover it all up....

By the way as Roy mentioned above RS is an excellent source of bits n pieces (if a little expensive) Catalogue is full of loads of thing you dont need or didnt know you could buy.
www.rs.com. Think you might have to convince them youre trade though

I had a telescopic stay on my Series MM boot. One end attached to the boot hinge bolt and the other end bolted to the hole for the original boot prop. Trouble was it was too strong and broke one of my new slimline (Series MM) boot hinges. Back to the manual system.
