In all honesty I doubt I would ever scrap anything ... it would need to sit on the FREE section for 6 months before I would actually get it weighed in, its not just about maintaining minor spares, but also all the energy that went into making it a usable piece of machinery would be totally wasted by melting it down!
My question was more about whether it was worth hanging onto or letting it go ... I guess I phrased it wrongly, sorry if I gave the wrong impression.

Well - the head probably IS unleaded - and worth having if you have a 948 (or 848, or even 803 ) engine !

No, my other two are 1098's and both are in full working order ... one of them has had a lot of work done to the head as well.

Am doing ... and very gratefully too ... I should have passed it on long ago, but I'm only just getting round to having a clear-out ... hopefully I should have some wings & doors to get rid of soon too ... not in amazing condition, but too good to throw away.
