Well can't quote my local supermarkets as I haven't looked in a while (must do next time I remember) but here is what you should be looking out for from ebay

I get kettle descaler easilly.
I think Tesco & Wilkinsons sell but you have to search for it in the stores.
I had an almost totally blocked with limescale rad on my A35 and competley cleaned it with Boots citric acid meant for wine making. It's a powder and simply add to rad with fresh water. Safe to flush away too as organic.

I will look again in Tesco but haven't seen it for a while. Maybe looking in the wrong aisle so I'll ask next time I'm in there. Thanks.

Whatever you use be doubley sure when you flush and when the parts are re-assembled in the car that all loose residue is removed. If the descaler dislocated a large chunk or flake and that didn't dissolve properly you could have a very serious overheating problem in the engine later.
If you have limescale in the heater pipe it suggests that the proper antifreeze mixture wansn't present and there will almost certainly be corrosion damage in the engine block too. Perhaps someone can suggest a course of action for tackling that.
