On the site the whole set of seals are £15 and it does mention the flat seal between the doors so might be worth a call to see if you can just purchase the flat one.If it is a different profile from original there may be a good reason for this.

I will have to give him a call, the silly thing is I had a chat with him at the 60th party at Gaydon and completely forgot about it on the day

Logdog and co - you seem well versed in this process. I am refitting my traveller doors and hinges - any hints please on how I should fit the flat seal between the rear doors. I don't understand how the rubber is fiited in relation to the little metal plates at the top of the door. Plus how much of a gap have you aimed for between the bottom of the doore and the frame when lining up the hinges etc? Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

The flat strip fits to the left door just butting up to the metal plate.
It is glued to the wood and fits in the recess. The right door shuts over it forming a watertight seal. This does make the doors very hard to open especially if like me you've got new wood, as they swell a bit in the wet.

Originally the seal ran up the l/hand door and over the top and was then pinned on the inner face and the metal plate went over it trapping it in place.

Agreed, but you can't shut to door then - too much rubber in the way!
