Yes agreed, solid one! Ive had 2 break up on me one of them threw the bits into the radiaor and wrecked the core, making it an even more expensive pain in the rear.......

i think the fabricated pulley used together with an alternator is just a time bomb (tighter belt = rapid failure).
A pressed pulley with a dynamo should last very well but to be on the safe side the solid pulley is a much better option.

Well done - quite a job. Crankshaft damper ex Mini/Metro engine is the best bet - otherwise the 'solid' version.
