Yes 29th good here
Meet in Lewes and go to Barcombe - sounds good
We could do a route via Barcome over to Ditchling (mostly B2116 - running along the foot of the South Downs) and refresh the inner man/woman at one of the fine hostelries there - gorgeous, pretty village

Then over via back roads to Wiveslfield Green and North Chailey - Chailey Common is lovely
Could then pootle over to Blackboys via the B102? Those wanting a circular route could then return to Lewes on the B2192.
Or if time runs short, back to Lewes from North Chailey, or the shorter route via South Chailey, on the A275?

Isn't there a good pub at Offham we could meet up at? Just to the west of Lewes? Can't remember its name. Save getting caught up in the delightful Lewes one-way system

Hmm both the pubs in Offham are closed that day

and there are no other suitable places to meet up on the west side of Lewes
However we could meet at
http://www.cockpub.co.uk/ on the A26, it's only five minutes north of Lewes and easy to find, they serve hot drinks from 11am, and from there we can find a very pretty route through Barcombe and down to the B2116 to Ditchling
Thoughts?
