Is it a fact that the General Discussion section attracts more users? That is why we are sometimes tempted to seek for help in there, even for technical and bodywork.
Mods should please note that the main aim of this forum is to promote the conservation of our best loved cars and therefore a plea for help should be allowed a link in most sections for maximum exposure.

We often have this issue cropping up, we all bottle it up for a while and then have to let it out!

Well, as BT say, 'its good to talk'. Although my original post was about my own personal case, the issue seems to have now incorporated the BM issue. I don't see free discussion as a problem and I think we are all on the same page anyway.

rayofleamington wrote:Hi Ian, some days I've moved up to 15 posts from General in to tehnical, cars for sale, parts for sale, off topic etc.. etc...
Usually I'm doing this in work time (limited to snatch a few minutes here and there) or when I should really be getting some sleep or should be working on the cars. On top of reading lots of posts to check for adverts and other issues I usually am running out of time, so not always got time to be sending many PM's on top.
I don't see that people were asking for PMs for moved subjects, simply the addition of a couple of words, eg-"to off topic" etc. But when a post is deleted, then yes a reason should be given. Looking at the recent example was it something like 7 infringements from one person in rapid succesion, is there not a facility to simply put a block on posts from a particular source rather than keep repeating yourselves. Not intended as a criticism, just thinking of your time and effort!

In fact the poster can be banned very easily, and in my instances of moderation they were advised of this.
