I've never seen a price guide that puts SII travellers on par with 1000 travellers however they are rare as hens teeth and priced accordingly! price guides usually show them as cheaper

though i wish they were cheaper!!!!

Quite agree, the current price guides in all the mags are well out of date. All based on probably the PC guide of the mid 90s with inflation and tweaked abit to prove they haven't copied!
I'd agree with Series 2s worth similar to 1000s and a premium on anything rare and unusual.
PC price guide for an MM tourer being £4600 for cond1 dosen't really fit in with recent prices - the last two I've seen sell have been much nearer £6000 and not really concours, though very nice.

Recent example of a bit rare being a 1958 van in a local auction. Low mileage and original which was very good, but tarted up with a very poor respray (paint on rubbers, wrong colour etc), black bumper and wheels, and rusty dirty engine bay etc, which was offputting. I was expecting it to go for around the £2k mark but it went for a hefty £4700 + commision which must have been very pleasing for the vendor to say the least.
