Right, todays update. I hacked off the remains of the nearside chassis leg. Spent about an hour drilling out spot welds, horrible job. Im going to have to replace part of the tie plate first, does anyone have a piece with a preformed hole in? as i dont need to buy a whole repair section.
I also finished off repairing the holes caused by rust under the exhaust heat shield and a little bit of rust in the passenger footwel.
all in all a productive day.

Annoyingly after removing some waxoyl and removing the top bump stop (i think its that!) i found more rust. So ive got that to repair now too!

Yes - they often rust away under that bump stop.

Not surprised, hell of a rust trap, despite the waxoyl!
