Just folllow trucks on flat ground - they should be doing 56 mph max! May be the old speedo has been kept and is reading low. Otherwise - learn to live with it!

Having finally checked the speedo against a GPS thingy I find it's reading between 5 - 8 mph slow so this explains somewhat the high noise levels at 60 mph (actualy 68 mph). She's also a bit quieter now I've refitted the carpets with sound deadening underneath them and at an indicated 50 mph she quite purrs along

Yes I will. She should of had a 4.55 diff originally (now 4.22) so I guess this is why its reading slow? At least I know now what speed I am doing, I just hope I haven't already been done

You get a few mph lea-way anyway. So as long as you don't do my 'add 10mph' to the limit trick - you should be ok!

Gatso cameras are set at 10%+2MPH of posted limit. Camera Vans are the real problem, as it's up to the operator, same goes for the laser guns.

My wife got done by a camera van (which I found funny but shouldn't laugh just in case) the weird thing was though that it did her going away from the van not coming towards it. I didn't think they could do that but apparently (£60 and 3 points later) they can. So just because you ain't heading for one of them vans..... SLOW DOWN anyways !!!

Diffs are normally stamped on the casing as well as on the rim of the crown wheel. So in theory if you scrape off the paint/gunge in the right place you can read it. Its on a little flat area near to the mounting flange.
