Time is the main reason I consider the AGM to be unsuitable. Additionally most of those attending have enough on their minds as it is.

The main ideals of the working group when we suggested its concept in 06 was to look into providing a list of approved traders and attempt to improve the quality of parts.
I had been in discussion with several traders prior to the 06 AGM, some of whom were in favour some uncertain and others dead against, each providing valid ,understandable reasons for their position.
If I were setting up this group myself then I would definitely ask traders to be involved in the inception and help form a formula by which we could proceed.
Unfortunately the group meetings were all poorly attended although attempts were made into how certain models from other clubs could be applied to the MMOC. A lot of effort was exerted in doing this.
I have always stressed that the trade be involved yet I am the only one, and I have only been able to attend 2 of the 3 meetings.
I think that a topic of such importance should have been both better promoted and significantly more meetings been held.
Not sure if its cold feet by the MMOC or just general poor organisation.
The success of this group will be beneficial for both customers and traders, however its very nature will mean the exclusion of some traders who do not meet the required remit of the group. This last point might be another reason for a perceived 'dragging of heels'
