As well as a Minor I also run a 1954 Rover p4.
The various Rover Owners Clubs usually welcome any classics to their Rallies and some even give out awards for the best other classic to attend.
At this years Rover P4 Drivers Guild National Rally at Woburn a Morris Minor attended and was made most welcome.

I personally cannot answer that one. All I know is the bit about keeping the Morris cars all together. I dont know how the organising committee are dealing with cars owned by non-members. I'm afraid you'll have to contact them (I'm not on organising) I think the original idea was as it is an Owners Club Rally only Owners Club members would be able to park their cars in line. Others could turn up and park with the general public. Who knows - by the end of the weekend they may be members as well as owners!

Personally, if I was not a member of the club and I turned up for the National in my Morris and paid as much as club members to enter, and was told to park with the moderns I wouldn`t be inclined to join a club with that attitude!

well rasputin if i did the same and they told me to park elsewhere i to would not join , in fact i would go back home again
even if it is an owners rally, hey you own a morris so that should be okay

All Morris minor’s should be parked together at the rally, member or non-member it shouldn’t matter.
If that’s the clubs attitude maybe we should organise are own rallies.

Bill " Mountains and Molehills come to mind" the club is putting on the event for minor fans around the world!
1) Minors will take pride of place at the event, so if a non member arrives in a Minor "he or she" will be encouraged to park with the minors. Hopefully we will be able to get them to join the club as well!
2) I am setting aside an area for those members who want "to be together" so that they can park next to each other. This area is likley to be near the various registers and Branch ave. We also have an an area planned for classic cars from other makes which We have done for the last two or three years cars up to 1979 will be more than welcome to come along.
3) All cars post 1979 will be parked in a euro box area away from the Minors, which worked very well at Kelmarsh Hall last year.
I trust that this resolves the matter for all who want to attend.

I'm really glad to hear that the club will let non-members who arrive in Minors join the throng on the rally field. It will create a good atmosphere, and I'm sure new people will join up as a result

And the photos of the event will look even more impressive
Looking forward to it

Absolutely, and as in previous examples caused unfortunately by a lack of communication.
If the question had been answered when first asked, all of this could have been avoided.
Anyway, it's sorted now and non members using this site I am sure will appreciate your reassurance.

I thought it was quite an important issue, thinking through the ramifications, and I'm glad you asked the question, Bill, and very glad that Andrew found the time to come on here and answer it
