I can set up an email list with moderated subscription for discussion about building the raft. I would have to rely on people's word of honour when they ask to join it that they're not spying for another branch team!

Is this a calm lake or a flowing stream?
It's a very slow flowing river.

I'll help if I'll manage to come to the UK for the National Rally next year, above all this is more or less the only branch I can be part of :)

The rules say "they may be assembled on site" - I take that to mean they can be built in advance either as a complete raft or as several parts ready for final assembly. Roger says he has somewhere we can build and test it.

I can test it if you like, send me the materials, I'll build it and come from Malta to the UK on it, if I'll survive than it's good enough :)

I have created a mailing list for discussion on this subject outside the open forum. Subscription is moderated, however I don't know who is and who isn't working on an entry for another branch so I'm relying on your word of honour that you will only subscribe if you promise to keep our ideas secret from the other teams.

Rule 1. You do not talk about the Web Pirates.
Rule 2. See Rule 1. :D

With that out of the way, in order to subscribe to the list, simply send a blank email to webpirates-subscribe [at] linuxhacker [dot] org

Do you just send to that email for distribution to the list?
Blimey a guru like you should have had a PW protected message board :-)

Yes, it's just an ordinary mailing list. I've been running a list server for nearly a decade now.
