Just to resolve this...
I've replaced the other 3 trunions and collars (is that what they're called?) and they all went on perfectly.
So, as repeatedly suggested, its obviously just one thread on one kingpin that's dead.

So, that's one new bare arm and one bottom trunion kit to buy next. :D

Btw: Those top trunions are an absolute so.d to separate from the suspension arm. lol
What would Macgyver do..?

Best to fit polyurethane bushes in the top 'eye' - and it's then dead easy to pop the eye off the mounting rod on the damper. Just jack it up slightly so the damper arm is off the rebound stop - then it can all be wiggled about more esaily!
