I trained as a mechanic in the 1960's, and I seem to remember it being a common phrase even then

doesn;t mean its right! Its burn not blow. BTW, I was not having a go at your t-shirts, just mentioning that petrol engines burn their fuel not explode them.

Surely theres a vapourise or something in there too? And since all explosions are rapid burning, I guess we'll just have to banish the word 'bang' to other uses...
