In the world of electrical engineering the correct word for a light bulb is a lamp. It sounds mad I know. Imagine saying to the missus we need a new lamp for the lamp! Its stupid.
Check out the RS website, they're all called lamps!

Just wondered why it was 'politically' correct - after a long time in theatre electrics, I've changed many lamps in lights

When I was young and started my electrical apprenticeship I found it funny to learn about the lamp name for bulbs.

The theatre lights were often called 'lanterns' too, just to confuse it further

Maybe the Travellor had an electronic flasher unit of the type used with LED flashers.
