Just arrived at my hotel...
My car does not seem to have seen a welder since it was built. The driver's side had rubber bushes with the flange well knackered. I've put new bushes in with intact flanges. I've no idea when the metalastic bush was installed on why it seems to have been trimmed flush with the eyebolt.
If the suspension arms have moved forwards at all it's only by a mm or two. The front and rear arms are now equally spaced around the eyebolt.
The holes in the tiebar and the suspension arm bracket are out of line by about half the diameter of the hole. I can feel the heaving-on-a-screwdriver method being used.

1/2 a hole!
Pah the tolerance on the design was probably more than that.
I find a scaffolders podger (or hefty replacable screwdriver) very useful when doing the front suspension with new bushes
