Amazing! I have never heard of a tubed radial tyre until now.
My Michelins are marked 'tubeless' and so are the Firestones.
Your SP's must be as smooth as a babys'bottom if they were
meant for tubes,I would be surprised if they are still supplied?
Then again,what about cars with spoked wheels? They need
tubes because they are not air tight and I can't believe that
they are all on Cross plies. Who has a sports car? What tyres
are you using?

Well, the tyres and tubes are all fitted now, and the cornering is a lot better (haven't had the chance to try in the wet yet!).

Willie, the SP Elites were marked "Tube tyre", and the inside of them had diagonal ribbing - the new Firestones were actually smoother!

I asked about spoked wheels, and they told me they had one in a few days ago - with tubeless tyres. Apparently the spokes were sealed with silicone sealer - they tank tested it 'cos they hadn't seen it before.

They had just finished the tracking (was 1/8 inch toe out! - oops) and spotted that the steering gaiter had perished - waste of a job?
Well, there's a pair of new gaiters in the post, the local MOT/service centre reckons 40 minutes to fit (1 of the guys has 2 moggies), and Humphries offered to re-track it for free when it's done (take the receipt).
