I had the chance of a fully sorted engine with Blower about 4 years ago for £1700. The engine came out of a racing boat and had steel crank, carrillo rods, roller rockers, forged pistons, o rings etc in either a P6 or Buick block. As I didn't have a need for a Rover engine at the time, I passed - however 3 months later I did - it was sold. It ended up in mates 40 ford pickup, then it was taken out and sold and put in a T bucket. It then materialised on E bay (unique Customs) - described as a fully rebuilt engine from the states etc. - looking for £4000, but I think it eventually sold again for £2000.
This engine revved like a bike engine, was totally mint in and out, but I think people are very wary about longevity of such beasts.
I perhaps should have bought it instead of the Cleveland I'm about to use - hindsights a wonderful thing.
