Don't know, to busy scremming like a schoolgirl
Most of the noise so far is coming from the K&N filter
I wanted the charger to whine also...

Spot-on installation GAS - looked very impressive yesterday at Moffat. Hope it started this time !

Thats amazing!
You could go into business with the fabircators selling the inlet manifolds.
Would be a cool bolt-on mod.
Culd you 'get away' with superchagring a boggo standard lump and just running it on low boost or whatever - like you could a turbo?

Yes you could - provided the standard unit was in top condition. Just run the blower at a lower speed to make sure the engine didn't run into detonation.

The car never missed a beat all the way there and back,
crusies along the motor way without struggling at the hills (which is what i wanted)
The throttle cable is very stickie,I need to snatch the gears quick, but on the motorway It's like cruise control for free.
Alot more tweeking to be done and it should get better and better
(The reason it failed to start at Peebles was bad plugs, it took me a week to find this out)
Gas..

Why is it that the simple problems are often the hardest to find......

I'll bet it doesn't struggle on the hills !

GAS - Lad on Minifinity is showing pics of his vmax installation - his inlet pipe (your B&Q item!!) /carb/filter are considerably larger than yours. Your engine may be strangled at revs - especially by the small filter.

The pipe I used is just slightly bigger than the induction pipe that Vmax supplied me with ,he also supplied the K&N filter and the HIF carb(jeted to suit)
Vmax also supplies kits for the later fuel injected minies with throtle bodies which have bigger inlet manifolds.
My throttle cable is still sticking, but I'll fix it eventualy

GAS, if you’re still around on the forum, what was or is your experience of fitting the Vmaxscart supercharger in 2006?
With hindsight, would you do it again and anything you would do differently? How was it for reliability and performance?
I’m looking to up my power (100+) and don’t fancy Zetec. I’d like to stick with BMC but don’t fancy a high reving screamer. A blower looks like one possible route.
