Maybe try a different browser? Chrome or Firefox.
Are you using WiFi or a cable connection?
Can you browse around the Mail on line website quickly and easily? Yes, I know it's rubbish, but it's a good stress test.
Using a good antivirus?
I doubt it's this website, or everybody would be getting it.

Brian,
4 attempts to get in to reply this time
It's a wired gigabit connection
Mail on line - zips around with no delays
Antivirus is McAfee VirusScan Enterprise updated daily
CPU is 64-bit, 4-core, 2.7Mhz and hyper-threading, memory 16Gb
Oh, and Windows 10, which the MMOC have had a number of problems with.
Speed test just now shows 31 Mb/s download and 9 Mb/s upload - at the peak time of 6.00pm!
I think it is Windows 10, as I don't get the same problem with my desktop running Server 2008 R2 (effectively Windows 7).

I've been having intermittent slow performance issues with the forum this week. I use an Android phone, so don't be too quick to suspect Windows 10 (much as I dislike it!)

I don't think the MMOC site is the problem. I'm on Windows 10, fully updated and using Chrome, works just fine. The issue is something on the affected PC. Do you have additional toolbars in your browser? These are the source of many potential issues. All browsers work best in minimum configuration.

I'd go along with that.
Is OP using Internet Explorer or Edge? Both have problems with some websites.
Changing browsers might be the answer.
