Thats a very neat job on the tank edge, Ive never actually saw a minor rotten there before! One of the few places that normally misses out on rot, your obviously just lucky

Moving on up to the LH gutter area. The panel below had started to rust and although the gutter was still good it had to come off to make the necessary repairs...[frame]

Before I can fit the crossmember I need to sort out the gap between the repair panels for the outer floor. This is an unnecessary annoyance in my view due to poor management of repair sections by the big supplier. Clearly these are meant to be used in isolation as a bit of a quick fix and so have been adapted to sit over any existing metal the "restorer" chooses to leave in place. In my view it would make more sense to have them complete up to the point at which they meet and if necessary they could be cut back to size...[frame]

Anyway, rant over, it would be quite simple to but weld a small piece in to join, but, when trial fitting the cross member I noticed a gap between the flange and this point. So instead i made up another section to fit over the top and help fill the gap...[frame]

The front spring hangers were carefully positioned before being welded on too...[frame]

The old seat captive fixing brackets were cut off the remains of the old floor and welded on...[frame]

The cable and pipe tabs were repaired as necessary and formed to shape. That pretty much finishes of the floorpan repairs...[frame]

Neil -I don't normally follow resto threads - but yours is truly amazing! My head spins at the work you are doing. On the crossmember - do you think the heavy 'spot' welds through the floor are sufficient? Or do you intend to do any stitch welding to the floor?
