Harry and his tiny hands came in very useful for passing wires up through small holes in the floor. Child labour, Victorian style, chimney next Harry.[frame][/frame]

the Halfords bullets were easy to adapt, once soldered on they popped in flush. Ther's not much space inside the rubber light boots, so any flush connection helps.[frame][/frame]

the other side of the chassis was wire wheeled off to give a good earth connection[frame][/frame]

stop lights go, tail light go, rear flashers go. well not quite, can't wait to see these working, need a power source first. Thats next on my shopping list, a Battery. Halfords sell all types, can anyone advise.[frame][/frame]

Progress continues apace well done.
One of the more recent shots "appears " ? to show the bullet connectors not pushed fully home into the connectors.
Rear offside/ drivers side alongside the chassis.Because it will be open to all the elements, may I sugest after the connectors are pushed right in that you fill the gaps with copperease or grease/ vaseline, whatever is to hand to keep water and dirt out.
Anything to stave off electrical problems a year or two down the line.

ah so that explains the madness

stripping off the covers from the original seats from the original farm pickup relic, the seats were full of rat droppings that have mummified, so the best place for this particular activity, bearing in mind what is dropping out, is the garden compost heap.[frame][/frame]

once the horrible, rotten, chewed stuff was gone, the cushions underneath could be seen, not much there to keep, bearing in mind some of that has been used for nesting material.[frame][/frame]

about all I'm going to keep is the drivers seat frame, as this is from the original pickup it will suit the floor dimensions and angles.[frame][/frame]

are you going for the standard van/pickup trim, or the saloon trim?

You have worked really hard on this David. well done! pickup looks good!

If you're going to recover them you can get all the new strapping etc from any of the morris suppliers.

Incidently the correct battery for a minor is an 038

However there is plenty of room in the battery tray and you can fit a much bigger battery. I normally go for an 067

thanks for the comments, I intend to get seats fitted with whatever is at hand for the moment, once its on the road, there will be a gradual improvement over details like trim ect, the webbing straps look a bit grotty on this seat, the traveller one may have better straps and hessian, but I expect to fit new foam. Thanks for the battery tip, more juice the better I expect.
