IMPORTANT

I have been advised by the MMOC Committee that if this event is not sanctioned by them, then it will not be covered by their Public Liability Insurance. I have therefore requested that it is recognised as an official MMOC event to overcome this. I will keep you advised on the outcome.

However I feel that I should point out that this situation could also affect organisers of any other events such as website rallies etc.

I had taken this as read, and assumed website rallies (and others like the AIR and MTHOS) were not insured.

lol of course not  just to be aware that you wouldn't be covered by the MMOC public liability insurance, unless Bill gets the rally recognised as an official MMOC event 8)

Not if I have anything to do with it Dennis, and sense prevails. I have made a formal request to the club to recognise it as an official MMOC event. It just frustrates me that the club have previously suggested to me that a telephone call is far preferable to an email or PM, and then they ask a non committee member to PM me apparently on their behalf?????

Anyway lets just get on with it. I do hope that no-one has been put off by this very unwelcome saga. Particulary as the planned itinerary is shaping up nicely now :D

Thanks Juliet, your support is very welcome at the moment.
