Speaking as someone who has only just joined I can only say positive things about the message board. I know there have been some comments about how it is only used by a group of 20. I don't think this reflects how many people read without loggin on. I spent a couple of months checking it out before commenting. It can seem a bit intimidating to a novice like me at times as everyone sems to know so much about the moggie and I don't. As soon as I asked questions I got a great response. Good to know that there are always people around to help because if you do go to a club it's only once a month.
As to apealing to younger people, I do think it's harder than for a mini or beetle, but not impossible. I would personally like to see a few more moggie's in bright colours. It just makes them a bit more eye-catching and appealing. Although my opinions on Tim Westwood are not printable, I do think that pimp my ride did really well there. I would also suggest trying to get one onto a TV show or advertising campaign that is aimed at younger people. Whilst it is good to see them promoted in the antiques roadshow, it does enforce the stereotype of being a car for the over 65's. They could also be promoted at places like festivals. I think that there's a lot that could be done, but I appreciate it is dificult when everyone has day jobs.

WElcome Em!! then you should see my bright yellow van!

the idea of using a Minor for advertising something related to younger people is good I remember a time about 5 years or less ago Levi's used an old Triumph in the ad and it was quite a good ad many of my friends wanted a Triumph like that! pity we knew of only 1 over here and it was a complete wreck! so it could work

Maybe we could get a well known group to make a music video using brightly coloured modified minors.
Just a thought.

Did Madness use one in there video for Driving in my car?
That was in the 80's and it didn't boost its image then.

Yes. They also sing about one in a less than complimentary fashion in
Let's Go, one of the tracks on their new album...

Didn't they used to use a Minor to go to gigs? Or was that one of biggingers 'facts'?

I think they must have because that song is actually reminiscing about their early gigs. Plus they briefly called themselves "Morris and the Minors."

I have shown at Silverstone, and it does get very good attendance. In my opinion it is time we 'broke out of the circle' and attended as many varied events as possible, Silverstone is one such event. See also,
