Seriously though didn't realise the main club had absolutly nothing at all to do with it, didn't read the article, no promotion for the club was atempted then? glad they made money for charity.
So this official calendar then, why is it so secrative as to the contents, a selction of small pics would be good, the image on the cover and the description on the website don't really help. for all I knew the lancashire lot could have got a pic or two in there.
No secrets at all as both the 'Official' Marie Curie MMOC and the separate Lancashire Branches' Calendars have both been featured in three page long articles in Minor Matters within the last few issues.
The MMOC feature showed mainly photos similar to the ones in the Calendar but not those actually used and the photos were not that large, otherwise their would be no point in buying the calendar as well.

My appologies mr web editor. Again, I must confess to not really reading the club magazine and didn't realise the MMOC official calendar had been in the Minor Matters as a feature ( I will have a look)

.
Jonathan, your suggestion on the meet up at the National is a good one, and I wish you well. But, the young members need to be there, and if like most, they are put off official club shows, they won't be so the word needs to get out to them. It's just to far for me to go, I drove past Stanford hall a couple weeks ago going to Peterborough, took the Audi with modren comfort, I seriously couldn't drive that far in a moggie.
Oh Mick, couldn't reduce you signiture pic sizes slightly could you please mate? they make the viewing width on the screen a bit big and get the slidey bar thing come up at the bottom, cheers mate

It's less than 200 miles if you're coming from Yeovil!

9. You agree not to negatively comment on the MMOC, and MMOC services, any MMOC official or any MMOC member in any way.
I'd like to see a notice informing people that all comments are the view of the individual making them, instead of the above. Like this one is!

Isn't 200 miles to far then Alex? Don't get me wrong, it's not just the distance, I would have gone to Brookland day where there is a range of other vehicles, plus the nice bunch from LCV register and the museum to see, but my speedo still hasn't come back yet and didn't want to risk a ticket. I like going to shows where my cars are appreciated by many. 200 miles is a long way (especially if you don't like driving long distance) to be told by the masses I have the wrong wing mirrors dispite the fact theres a TD under the bonnet, without being negative you get my drift.
I know the whole point of this thread is to change all this, but like many others, to put my self out like that, the changes have to be in motion and progress at least in the visible distance.
Simply put, if you were on a sinking ship, and some chap said "it's all right I have a cork in my hand that will block the hole", would you sit back down and eat dinner, or stay in the que to jump overboard till the cork was in the hole?
Like I said in my first post. This is just my own personal view and opinions, no offence is ment toward anyone.
Thanks Mick, good of you mate. Didn't have to delete 3 of them though, tidy car you got.

Why not put a leaflet in the Minor Matters asking for some positive suggestions from members on way to improve the club. With the option to send it back anonymously if you don’t want to identify yourself. If it gets the response this thread has received,
Then someone has got to listen. Haven they?

if only they would

listen that is
but as allways steaped in T&C`S
is it possible those at the top of the club do not want change

But that's what people do! As long as You enjoy your car and efforts--job done.

And thats exactley what needs changing though Les. I can go to a local general classic car or hotrod show and meet some of the nicest people that apreciate what I have done, have a chat and smiles all round. Why drive all that way to get depresed.
is it possible those at the top of the club do not want change
You mean like a town council? no, surely not. Of course they want change, don't they??

I drove about 900 miles to my first car show last year to be told, "nice car."

No problem, I have been thinking of changing it for a while now, just not got round to it. It looks better in the photo than in the flesh.

You cannot change human nature, some folk will always like to find a none original part etc and let you know about it, but it's no good letting it get you down. If you want to go to a rally, go.
