I think they did thanks, bad luck with the piston though, maybe next time.
Weather held up well to allow a tour of the castle, drive and visit to a specialist.
Nice to see everyone, and interesting to put faces to names.

hope you all had a nice day.
would have loved to have gone but I put family before car orientated days out. I work 6 days a week so I always spend the 7th day in the week with the family (willingly).
Wifey would come along but 2 kids aged 3 and 5 would be bored within the hour.
anyway, hope it was a good day for those that went!

Back a short while ago (9:55)...
Brake master cylinder is screwed, sometimes very little brake effort and sometimes full effort exactly where it should be on the pedal. Interesting drive home

I've had a duff speedo for the past thousand miles or so (Matt! ;)) so have got used to watching what speed other drivers are doing and/or going by the rev counter instead.
I think the day went fairly well. In total we got five Minors and three modern cars. I was the third car into the car park (actually I arrived before it opened so went away for half an hour), so I had a word with the marshall, and after cracking a joke about woodworm he agreed to let us park as a group. After we'd been there a while he asked us to move onto the grass. It turned out to be quite muddy there so we moved yet again to a different part of the car park. It was quite funny that when we returned for lunch it was completely full and there was a Commer van rally driving around trying to find somewhere to park!
I'd brought some cheese sandwiches and water with me but Dale was far better prepared and had brought stove, kettle, frying pan and bacon:
