the bolts were rusted in, and the chrome domes on the other side just kept turning, so out came the cutting disc, the chrome you can see at the top needs replacing.

more cleaning up tommorow, I hope to get this ready to spray for wednesday when I hire out the compressor again.[frame][/frame]

next big bit due to be slid into place is the freshly cleaned and painted propshaft, this is the originaL shaft from the relic I found on the farm[frame][/frame]

as Ive subjected the neighbours to a mid morning flap disc deluge from my workshop, a nice quiet period in the electro dip for this overrider heavy thick support piece.[frame][/frame]

The yellow seems to be a bit chipped on this nearest corner, David. Did you have any painting experience at all before getting into the pickup resto? I ask because I'm considering doing my Mog's own paint.

plenty more yellow high build primer from where that came from, this is going to be flatted and resprayed flatted and resprayed. Fingolfin I had no car spraying experience before building this, so get stuck in mate, learn by practical experience, getting a car sprayed by a pro paint shop will cost you stacks.

Not that it matters that much, but are you aware that your actually refurbing a saloon, trav front bumper.

LCV bumpers are slightly different in that the blade is shorter, it isnt chromed (painted silver) and LCV's dont have over-riders.

Its difficult to tell but I believe the relic pickup photos show the correct LCV bumper.

As I say it doesnt matter and its entirely up to you of course, just thought Id point it out.

Thanks for that, well spotted, I hope the valance is the same because thats the only bit I'm using, it's a shame that the original blade was so bad it had to go to the scrappies, so I'm in the market for an LCV shorty, but that will have to wait, because I'm adding the final touch ups to areas that had run during the last spray session, the wing is done now, bonnet edges, front edges where they are covered by the rad panel and grill panel.[frame][/frame]

large panels are easier to spray I find, when they are suspended from above like this. I'm not actually spraying in this shot, just demoing.[frame][/frame]
